I know it’s been a while since I had time to blog, I’ve been a very busy bee recently. Last month I took part in Inktober and managed to complete thirty one pen and ink drawings. My portfolio is looking pretty impressive at the moment. Some of my drawings I have had reproduced as limited edition prints. others I have had printed on to greeting cards.
As well as the producing more artwork, I have been making keyhole wool/alpaca mixed scarves, more fingerless gauntlets and some brooches, all in preparation for the upcoming craft fayres and art shows I’m taking part in. Currently I have artwork on exhibit at The Dovecote Gallery in Styrrup until the 15th of December. For those who fancy visiting the address is: Poplars Farm, Main Street, Styrrup, Doncaster DN11 8NB, it’s open Thursday to Saturday 11am-4pm and Sunday 12-4pm. It’s well worth a look, not only to see so many artists fantastic work, but also to do a little Christmas shopping.
I’ve a stall at Winterfest at Thoresby Park on the 23rd and 24th of November. There’s plenty of things to do and see with musical entertainment, food and drink and lots of lovely craft stalls to buy a few more Christmas presents from. If you fancy popping over and saying hi the address is: Thoresby Park, Nr. Ollerton, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22 9EP. It’s open 10am-6pm on the Saturday and 10am-4pm on the Sunday. If you have a dog there is plenty of park land to walk them on, with a few pretty views along the way.
After Winterfest it on to High Storr School on the 7th of December, were I’ve got one of the fifty stalls, so if you still haven’t got all your Christmas presents by then, you’ve got yet another opportunity to find something you wouldn’t find on the high street. If you fancy taking a look and maybe sharing a mince pie with me the address is: High Storr School, High Storrs Road, Sheffield S11 7LH and it’s open from 11am-4pm. I will be wearing my Christmas jumper or maybe one of my Christmas rockabilly dresses, with a fantastic pair of Christmas themed shoes my sister bought me last year, so you definitely won’t miss me.
In true ‘me’ fashion I will be multi-tasking at these fayres: selling my wares and knitting for future projects at the same time (including a Starsky and Hutch cardigan my boss has asked me to make) so I should have some more work to show you soon.
As always, watch this space!!!!
